<p>Die Braunschweig Lions verstärken ihre Defense zur effect<sup>®</sup> ENERGY GFL-Saison 2026 mit Taylor Pawelkoski. Mit dem 25-jährige US-Amerikaner gewinnen die Braunschweig Lions einen leistungsstarken und erfahrenen Linebacker, der in der GFL-Saison 2026 eine Schlüsselrolle in der Defensive einnehmen soll.</p>
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Erfahrung aus GFL und GFL 2</h3>
<p>Taylor Pawelkoski ist im deutschen American Football kein Unbekannter. In der Saison 2025 stand der 1,83 Meter große und 102 Kilogramm schwere Linebacker im Kader der Hamburg Pioneers (GFL 2) und wurde dort zum Leading Tackler. Bereits 2024 spielte er für die Dresden Monarchs in der German Football League (GFL). In acht Einsätzen erreichte er mit dem Team den German Bowl und wurde Deutscher Vizemeister.</p>
<p>In zwei Spielzeiten in Deutschland sammelte Pawelkoski beeindruckende Statistiken:</p>

<li>4 Quarterback-Sacks</li>
<li>2 Interceptions</li>
<li>2 erzwungene Fumbles</li>
<li>1 Punt-Return-Touchdown</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">College-Karriere in den USA</h4>
<p>Vor seinem Wechsel nach Europa spielte Pawelkoski am Saint Anselm College (NCAA Division II) in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Dort war er als Middle Linebacker ein zentraler Bestandteil der Defense.</p>
<p><strong>In 36 Spielen erzielte er:</strong></p>

<li>200 Tackles</li>
<li>24 Tackles for Loss</li>
<li>10,5 Sacks</li>
<li>1 Interception</li>
</ul>
<p>Zusätzlich sammelte er erste internationale Erfahrung bei den Silesia Rebels in Polen.</p>
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Entscheidung für die Braunschweig Lions</h3>
<p>Nach der ersten Kontaktaufnahme durch Head Coach Brayden McCombs fiel Pawelkoski die Entscheidung leicht. Die Perspektive bei den Braunschweig Lions und die Herausforderung in der GFL überzeugten ihn schnell. 2026 wird er das Trikot der Lions tragen und die Defense mit seiner Dynamik und Erfahrung verstärken.</p>
