<p>US-Receiver geht auf Punktejagd für die Königlichen</p>
<p>Die Dresden Monarchs haben für die neue Saison in der effect®️ ENERGY GFL Montigo Moss verpflichtet. Der US-Amerikaner soll 2026 für jede Menge Touchdowns sorgen. Landsmann Tyler Hudson wird dagegen erst später zum Team stoßen.</p>
<p>„Montigo ist ein kompletter Receiver mit nachgewiesener Produktion, starken Händen und physischer Präsenz. Er hat sich von Jahr zu Jahr immer weiterentwickelt und ist mit seinem Potenzial noch lange nicht am Ende. Wir versprechen uns viel von ihm, denn er gibt unserer Offense eine weitere hochklassige Option. ,Tigo‘ passt perfekt zu unserer Spielidee“, erklärt Offense Coordinator Robert Cruse.</p>
<p>Montigo Moss wurde am 28. Juni 2002 in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), geboren und erlernte unter anderem an der Fork Union Military Academy das Football-Spielen. Anschließend entwickelte er seine Fähigkeiten an der University of Maine (NCAA Division I FCS) immer weiter. In den fünf Jahren für die Black Bears erzielte der 1,85 Meter große und 96 Kilogramm schwere Wide Receiver in 46 Spielen bei 143 Receptions 16 Touchdowns und 1.692 Yards. Allein in seiner Abschluss-Saison waren es 61 Receptions für sieben Touchdowns und 722 Yards – teamleading in allen Receiving-Kategorien.</p>
<p>Statistiken, die auch in der NFL nicht verborgen blieben, weswegen Moss sich nach seiner College-Zeit 2025 unter anderem bei der Franchise der Minnesota Vikings im Rookie Minicamp beweisen durfte. Der 23-Jährige besitzt die Fähigkeiten, das Potenzial und den Willen, die Fußstapfen auszufüllen, die in der Vorsaison Tyler Hudson mit 170 Punkten hinterlassen hat. Der beste GFL-Receiver von 2025 wird zu Beginn der Spielzeit noch nicht für die Monarchs auflaufen.</p>
<p>„Für Tyler hat sich die Möglichkeit ergeben, einen Traum zu erfüllen. Er will sich in der UFL durchsetzen und wir als Dresden Monarchs möchten ihm nicht im Wege stehen, diesen Traum zu verwirklichen. Tyler weiß aber um das Versprechen, dass er den Monarchs und den Fans gegeben hat. Deswegen will er nach Ende der UFL-Saison auch unbedingt nach Dresden kommen und helfen, dass wir unsere Ziele erreichen“, so Offense Coordinator Robert Cruse.</p>
